Aidan Pryde, from the Mattlov-Pryde Sibko, Aidan was defeated in his trial to become a warrior and was given an unprecedented chance to win a second trial by disguising himself as a freeborn warrior. He eventually ended the charade and entered a Trial of Bloodright to win a chance for the Pryde Bloodname. Triumphant, but tainted due to his freeborn connections, he was made commander of a unit as tainted as him, the Jade Falcon Guards. His daring allowed the Falcons to hold their own on Tukayyid and was martyred there. He became an unquestioned hero in the Clan. His freeborn daughter is Diana.
